Partha Mohanram named fellow of CPA Ontario

Partha Mohanram, a professor of accounting at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, has been named a 2024 Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Ontario.
The highest honour given to chartered professional accountants in the province, CPA fellowships recognize individuals for their service, strategic leadership and career achievements.
Mohanram is the John H. Watson Chair in Value Investing and director of the CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting Innovation Research at Rotman. A leading researcher in the field of empirical financial accounting, he has published extensively in the areas of financial statement analysis, valuation of growth firms and implied cost of capital and executive compensation. His recent work has examined topics in social media, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
“Partha has become one of the most highly respected accounting researchers working at a Canadian university,” wrote Gordon Richardson, professor of accounting at Rotman, in his letter nominating Mohanram for the honour.
