Stefan Dimitriadis recognized by Poets&Quants for Undergrads

Stefan Dimitriadis, an assistant professor of strategic management at the Rotman School of Management, has been named one of the 50 best undergraduate business professors of 2024 by Poets&Quants for Undergrads.

The seventh edition of the list was drawn from more than 1,000 nominations for 160 individual professors put forward from students, faculty members, deans and alumni of higher education institutions.

Dimitriadis joined Rotman in 2019 after completing his PhD in organizational behaviour and sociology at Harvard University. His research focuses on entrepreneurship in institutionally challenging environments and social entrepreneurship.

He said he's grateful for his undergraduate students and strives to stand out for his empathy and supportiveness.

“It’s an important time in many students' lives as they take on more responsibilities, manage competing demands and prepare for the post-university labour market. There can be a lot of uncertainty and stress,” Dimitriadis told Poets&Quants. “My hope is that my courses are a space where students can feel heard and understood, which in turn creates an environment in which they can immerse themselves in learning about critical issues in business.”
