As of Oct. 16, full-time academic staff at 24 colleges across Ontario are on strike.

While University of Toronto faculty and staff are not part of this labour action, some students at the university – those enrolled in joint programs offered by U of T and Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, and Centennial College – are affected.

Students at the University of Toronto Scarborough who are enrolled in Centennial College courses will continue attending classes at U of T Scarborough, but Centennial classes are cancelled. Students affected by the strike are advised to check for updates via their myCentennial email and the Centennial College website; U of T Scarborough students are also encouraged to speak to staff in the Office of the Registrar regarding the strike and their particular programs.

Students at the University of Toronto Mississauga who are enrolled in Sheridan College courses will continue attending their U of T courses, but Sheridan classes are cancelled. Students can contact their academic advisers or counsellors within their U of T Mississauga department for information about the U of T part of their program.  For questions about college courses or other related matters, they are advised to contact their academic adviser or program department at Sheridan College.
